Reward Shop - can you help?

We recently wrote to parents regarding our new Positive Rewards strategy for learners in Ysgol Bro Dinefwr.  We have this year relaunched our Prize Evening, which was supported by funds previously raised by the PTA which is now known as Cymuned Ysgol Bro Dinefwr. 

We have also reviewed our positive rewards points system for all yeargroups to ensure that learners can consistently gain points for a positive attitude to learning and positive and respectful behaviour.  Their aggregate points score (positive points minus negative behaviour points) can be used in our new online Rewards Shop on Class Charts, whereby they are able to redeem their positive points to purchase items.  

Cymuned Ysgol Bro Dinefwr are funding our initial purchase of items.  We have gone out to learners to ask what items they would like to see available.  Early responses show items such as stationery, vouchers (for shops, restaurants, cinema), sports items, art supplies, ICT equipment (headphones etc). Pupils have also volunteered to run the shop with staff, deciding on purchases, managing stock and manning the shop weekly, where pupils can collect their purchased items. 

Whilst we would love to be able to fully fund this for our learners, this is not something that our school budget currently allows, and we will shortly have exhausted the funds available from Cymuned Ysgol Bro Dinefwr.  Whilst we are aware that some parents would be more than willing and able to support financially, this is not the case for all, and we would like to ensure equal access for all our learners.   

We are therefore now asking for the support of local companies and businesses in maintaining the stock of items as rewards for learners who have worked hard to gain and maintain their positive points.   

How can you support? 

  • By donating directly to Cymuned Ysgol Bro Dinefwr for the Rewards Shop 

  • By supporting or sponsoring a Cymuned Ysgol Bro Dinefwr event* 

  • By sponsoring the purchase of specific items in the Rewards Shop 

  • By donating specific items to the Rewards Shop 

 What could you get in return? 

  • Free advertising on our school site: we have billboards lining the entrance to Natur, our Outdoor Learning Area 

  • Free advertising on our Cymuned Ysgol Bro Dinefwr newsletter (to be launched in September) 

  • Free advertising on our Social Media when funds/items are donated to the Rewards Shop

Are you able to help or support in any way?  Do you have any other suggestions of rewards or funding streams that you could provide for our learners? All monies raised go directly to supporting our learners in Ysgol Bro Dinefwr.
