Medical Science

General course information

Applied Diploma in Medical Science will enable progression to higher education to a range of Applied Science programmes, such as biomedical science, life sciences, and physiology. The level 3 Applied Diploma is equivalent in size to one A level. We  also offer a Certificate in Medical Science which is equivalent to half an A level which ends at the end of year 12. Studying the Level 3 Applied Diploma in Medical Science allows time in the curriculum for other qualifications to be studied alongside it, these would typically be A levels such as Chemistry or another Applied General qualification in an area such as Health and Social Care and many more

 Career Prospects

Alongside other Level 3 qualifications, a Level 3 Diploma in Medical Science is accepted in most Higher Education establishments for a variety of courses. For example it is accepted for most nursing courses, and in some establishments for physiotherapy. This course can also be used as a credit towards HND courses.

Ideal Entry requirements

Although each application will be considered individually it would be beneficial to have gained a C grade or above in GCSE Science
