Science

course information

Some pupils will study separate sciences as Biology, Chemistry and Physics.  This pathway results in 3 individual science grades.  The pupils who study these courses will be chosen by the school, as part of the Enrichment Programme.

Most pupils will study Science and Additional Science that will provide 2 GCSE grades at the end of Year 11. A small minority will study Single award applied science which is worth 1 GCSE grade.

The course you study will depend largely on your set in science. This means that the science department will determine the course that you study.

All courses involve a combination of written examinations and practical assessments.
