course information
The GCSE course is divided into three sections. Two units are assessed by examination and one is assessed through a 'Fieldwork inquiry: Non-examination assessment' unit. Pupils complete two external examinations at the end of year 11 which accounts for 80% of the course. The 'Fieldwork' unit which accounts for 20% will be completed in the Autumn term of year 11.
The content of the two examinations are divided into 6 themes:
